spirit of the games.
Over the weekend, judges will be watching for:

Displays of Camaraderie

Overall good/fair play

Having FUN!

sporting and social events.
Spirit of the
Games Award Guidelines
Winning the
Spirit of the Games Award is just as, if not more, prestigious than
winning the overall team award as it exemplifies the “raison d’ętre” of
the Peace Country Corporate Challenge. The Spirit of the Games Award
recognizes teams that play fair, are enthusiastic, are unique, and most
importantly have fun.
Event
Co-ordinators and other judges as assigned have the Spirit of the Games
Co-ordinator will score each team in five categories at each event. Event
Co-ordinators have the opportunity to make note of any special highlights
during the course of their event on the back of the sheet which may
result in bonus points at the discretion of the Spirit
Co-ordinator. Teams who display unsportsmanlike behaviour such as
disrespect of officials and competitors will be docked spirit points.
The Games’
events including all sporting and social events plus additional bonus
areas (such as Raffle Ticket Sales) are then all considered together to
determine the overall divisional Spirit winners. We will be
awarding "on-the-spot" spirit awards again - add to your collection from
prior years!
